Differential gene expression in two different size conidia of Metarhizium guniujiangensis

The insect pathogenic fungus Metarhizium guniujiangensis can simultaneously produce two types of conidial spores with different sizes. After sporulation on potato dextrose agar for seven days, conidia were collected and separated by centrifugation in sucrose gradients. After triple wash in sterile water, the big- and small-sized conidia were used for RNA extraction and for RNA-seq analysis using an Illumina technique. There were three biological replicates for each sample.
