This record provides the replication materials for the study “The Grapes of Delay: The Changing Drivers of Global Food Prices.” The package contains processed monthly data, Stata replication code, a variable dictionary, source documentation, and a template for provider-controlled series. The empirical analysis covers the period from May 1998 to April 2026 and examines the dynamic transmission of maritime freight rates, oil prices, global supply-chain pressure, and geopolitical risk to aggregate and commodity-specific food prices. The publicly accessible component includes the FAO Food Price Index and its meat, dairy, cereals, vegetable-oils, and sugar subindices, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York Global Supply Chain Pressure Index, and the Caldara–Iacoviello Geopolitical Risk Index. The Baltic Panamax Index and the Brent series identified in the manuscript as provider-controlled data are not redistributed. Researchers with authorized access can populate the accompanying template and use the supplied Stata code to reconstruct the complete analytical dataset and reproduce the reported analysis.
