Supporting data for "A Social History of Nightlife and Dance in 20th Century Hong Kong"

This dataset is in support of a thesis titled "A Social History of Nightlife and Dance in 20th Century Hong Kong". As its name indicates, the thesis explores how social, political, and cultural currents shaped nightlife institutions and dance culture in Hong Kong during the 20th Century. This dataset contains transcripts of ethnographic interviews conducted for research on Hong Kong's nightlife and dance culture history. The decades of nightlife activity that are discussed in the interviews range from the 1960s until, and including, the 1990s. Interviewees were nightlife professionals (e.g., DJs, managers, promoters). The transcripts are accompanied by interview guidlines, consent forms, data management plan, and ethics approval.本数据集用于支撑题为《20世纪香港夜生活与舞蹈社会史》的学位论文。如其标题所示，该论文旨在探究20世纪香港的社会、政治与文化思潮如何塑造当地的夜生活业态与舞蹈文化。本数据集包含为研究香港夜生活与舞蹈文化史而开展的民族志访谈（ethnographic interview）转录文本。访谈所覆盖的夜生活活动时段为1960年代至1990年代（含1990年代）。受访对象均为夜生活行业从业者，例如DJ、场地经理、活动策划人。该转录文本配套包含访谈提纲、知情同意书、数据管理计划与伦理审批文件。
