Sensitive High Resolution Ion Microprobe (SHRIMP) U-Pb zircon age data from central Transantarctic Mountains basement

SHRIMP U-Pb analyses of detrital zircon from 10 samples of sandstone from the Beardmore and Byrd groups (central Transantarctic Mts.), Patuxent Formation (Pensacola Mts.), and Koettlitz Group (southern Victoria Land). SHRIMP U-Pb analyses of zircon from 11 samples of igneous and metamorphic rocks from the Nimrod Group and associated Granite Harbour Intrusives exposed in the Miller Range of the central Transantarctic Mts. Data were collected on SHRIMP I and SHIRIMP II at the Research School of Earth Sciences, Australian National University, Canberra in 2000.
