This dataset includes measurements of changes in Leaf
Area Index (LAI) collected as part of a long-term study of
the recovery of the forest canopy following the ice storm of
January 1998. Measurements were taken in Watershed 1 and
Watershed 6 between July 1998 and July 2006. These data were gathered as part of the Hubbard Brook
Ecosystem Study (HBES). The HBES is a collaborative effort at
the Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest, which is operated and
maintained by the USDA Forest Service, Northern Research
Station.
