Orbit Track and Monthly Averaged NO2 Volume Mixing Ratio Profiles from the Solar Mesosphere Explorer (SME) Visible Spectrometer

The SME nitrogen dioxide data were derived from radiance measurements made by the visible spectrometer in the spectral interval of 312 to 647 nm. Nitrogen dioxide volume mixing ratios are given for 8 pressure levels spaced evenly between 24 and 40 km. Horizontally the data cover from pole to pole at increments of 5 degrees. There are two data sets: the orbit track nitrogen dioxide data cover years 1982 through 1986 in two tapes, and the monthly averages cover the same time period in one tape.
