The diversity of fungal communities from different developmental stages, sexes, and adult feeding of a Culex quinquefasciatus isoline, reared on laboratory conditions, and treated with a tetracycline solution was characterized. For that, groups of larvae, males, females only fed on sucrose solution and females fed on mouse blood were selected, surface sterilized and used for total DNA extraction. ITS2 fungal sequences obtained by ITS3/ITS4 primer pair amplification were used for metagenome analysis.
