Experimental evolution of bacterial survival on metallic copper. Pseudomonas [fluorescens] SBW25

We investigated the mutational patterns of Pseudomonas fluorescens in a long-term evolution experiment, wherein the bacteria were subject to daily transfers in laboratory media with and without copper contact killing, to evaluate the potential of bacteria to evolve prolonged survival on metallic copper.
