Identification of hybridization and introgression between Cinnamomum kanehirae Hayata and C. camphora (L.) Presl using genotyping by sequencing approach (GBS)

Cinnamomum kanehirae Hayata and C. camphora (L.) Presl are important tree species in East Asia. Wood of C. kanehirae has increasing demands for culturing Antrodia cinnamomea, medicinal fungus naturally growing inside the trunk of C. kanehirae. Putative hybrids between C. kanehirae and C. camphora were reported with no scientific evidence before and leaded to confusion or mis-planting. SNPs were developed by using genotyping by sequencing (GBS) approach in C. kanehirae, C. camphora and putative hybrids.Eventually, 840 high quality SNPs were obtained and avalivable for further genetic analysis.
