资源简介:
In this brief, we address whether patients who later donate surplus frozen eggs may be repaid the costs of their prior egg freezing treatment. There have been suggestions that such payments could be framed as reimbursement of reasonable expenses arising from the donation process. We argue that treating egg freezing costs as recoverable following donation is inconsistent with Australia’s legal framework and ethical standards governing gamete donation.
