We report that knockdown of Pum2 results in an increase of PBE containing mRNAs in axons, without changing mRNA levels in the cell bodies. Overall design: Axonal and somatic transcriptomes of embryonic rat dorsal root ganglion neurons grown in microfluidic chambers under shControl or shPum2 conditions were generated by RNA-Seq in duplicates using Illumina HiSeq. Axons were allowed to grow for 7 days before collection.
