The use of infection-niche mimicking media has minor impacts on meropenem resistance evolution in Pseudomonas aeruginosa

Five isolates from the endpoint population of each condition (HLM/lung + meropenem, TSB + meropenem, TSB antibiotic-free control and HLM/lung antibiotic-free control) along with the ancestral PAO1 strain were sequenced using Illumina short-read sequencing, with a target depth of coverage at 60X. DNA extraction, library preparation, and sequencing were performed by MicrobesNG (Birmingham, UK) according to their protocols, using the Illumina NovaSeq600 platform with a 250 bp paired-end protocol.
