Adenotonsillectomy in Children with Sickle Cell Disease and Obstructive Sleep Apnea

Data obtained for our retrospective review investigating T&A outcomes in pediatric patients with sickle cell disease and obstructive sleep apnea. Patient demographics, medical history, and pre- and post-transfusion hemoglobin levels were collected at time of T&A on 132 patients. In addition, We collected sleep study and hospital utilization data pre- and post-T&A in these patients. We also investigated post-T&A complication rates in this patient population.本回顾性研究旨在探讨镰状细胞病（sickle cell disease）合并阻塞性睡眠呼吸暂停（obstructive sleep apnea）的儿科患者接受T&A治疗后的临床转归，为此收集了相关研究数据。本研究共纳入132例患者，收集了其在接受T&A治疗时的人口统计学特征、病史资料，以及输血前后的血红蛋白水平。此外，本研究还收集了该队列患者T&A术前及术后的睡眠监测数据与住院医疗资源利用数据，并对该患者群体的T&A术后并发症发生率进行了分析。
