MODERN METHODS OF TEACHING THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE

Abstract: The rapid development of globalization, digital technologies, and international communication has significantly increased the importance of English language education worldwide. This paper examines the major modern methods of teaching the English language, including Communicative Language Teaching, Task-Based Language Teaching, Content and Language Integrated Learning, Cooperative Learning, Blended Learning, and technology-enhanced instruction. The study highlights the advantages of these approaches in improving students’ language proficiency, motivation, creativity, and engagement. The findings demonstrate that modern teaching methods contribute significantly to the development of linguistic, cognitive, and social skills, making English language learning more effective, practical, and learner-centered in the twenty-first century.
