Umbilical Cord Blood Mononuclear Cell mRNAseq: UIH Cohort

30 umbilical cord blood mononuclear cell (CBMC) isolates from volunteers were recruited from the University of Illinois Hospital and Health Services System. Cord blood was collected at birth in Green Top Sodium Heparin 95 USP Units Blood Collection Tubes (BD Vacutainer). CBMCs were isolated by overlaying dilute blood on to Ficoll-PaqueTM Plus (GE Healthcare) density gradients. mRNA was isolated, prepared into cDNA libraries, and sequenced using Illumina technologies.
