POLLUTION OF WATER RESOURCES AND MEASURES FOR THEIR PROTECTION

Water resources are among the most important natural components necessary for human life, agriculture, industry, and ecosystem stability. However, rapid industrialization, urbanization, agricultural chemicals, and domestic waste have led to serious pollution of rivers, lakes, underground waters, and other freshwater sources. Water pollution negatively affects human health, aquatic organisms, biodiversity, and environmental sustainability. This study analyzes the major sources and consequences of water pollution and discusses modern methods for the protection and rational use of water resources. Special attention is given to wastewater treatment technologies, environmental monitoring, sustainable water management, and the implementation of ecological regulations. The study emphasizes the importance of international cooperation, public awareness, and green technologies in reducing water contamination and ensuring the conservation of clean water resources for future generations.
