Leishmania tarentolae genetic adaptation

The primary objective of this study is to understand how L. tarentolae adapts to environmental changes during various culture passages. Specifically, the study aims to: 1) investigate gene and chromosome copy number variations as potential mechanisms of genetic adaptation; 2) explore strain-specific intrinsic factors influencing genomic dynamics during culture adaptation and assess how these genomic changes enhance the organism's fitness, particularly in the context of its potential use as a biotechnological tool.
