Impatiens capensis GBS data

Impatiens capensis plants (N=24-25) were sampled from 12 locations in southern/central Wisconsin, USA. The sampling locations were nested within 4 river systems and 2 major watersheds (Mississippi and Great Lakes). The main goal was to perform landscape genetics analyses to test if rivers and suitable habitat provide terrestrial genetic connectivity among these 12 populations otherwise nested in an agricultural/urban matrix. We also wanted to assess levels of inbreeding and heterozygosity at the individual (plant) and population levels. We generated 1x100 bp long single-end reads via genotyping-by-sequencing (GBS) for 315 samples (including technical replicates) and demultiplexed, cleaned, trimmed, and filtered the reads. We used a SNP panel generated from these sequence data to perform landscape genetics and population genetic analyses.
