Frustrated kagomé antiferromagnet consists of corner sharing triangles of magnetic moments offers a unique two dimensional spin- lattice to realize exotic phenomena such as quantum spin liquids (QSL) and associated elementary excitations. Quantum spin liquid is a highly entangled state ideal to host fractional excitations coupled to emergent gauge fields and has immense potential for braiding quantum computing technology. Here, we focus on a new Cu-based frustrated magnet YCu6O8Cl, wherein Cu ions constitute a two-dimensional kagome spin-lattice. Neither magnetic susceptibility nor specific-heat data show any signature of magnetic ordering down to 1.9 K despite a large Curie-Weiss temperature of Ѳcw = - 380 K. The magnetic specific heat suggests the presence of a gapless excitation spectrum. We propose to perform low energy inelastic neutron scattering (INS) studies using OSIRIS and high energy INS study on MERLIN for the unambiguous identification of ground state and track the associated magnetic excitations in this new quantum kagome frustrated magnet
