Raw Data_Body Image, Self-Esteem, Peer Support, and Physical Activity Motivation in Adolescents

The dataset, "Raw Data_Body Image, Self-Esteem, Peer Support, and Physical Activity Motivation in Adolescents," was collected from adolescents aged 11–18 in several middle and high schools in China through a random sampling method. Data were gathered via an online survey on the Questionnaire Star platform (www.Sojump.com) from February to April 2025. After excluding invalid responses, the final dataset comprised 1,100 valid questionnaires. The study aimed to examine the influence of body image on adolescents' physical activity motivation, with a focus on the mediating role of self-esteem and the moderating role of peer support. This dataset provides valuable insights into the psychological and social factors that drive adolescents' engagement in physical activities, offering empirical evidence for designing targeted interventions to improve body image, enhance self-esteem, and strengthen peer support in youth populations.
