A data set of net primary productivity in the demonstration zone of green and integrated ecological development of the Yangtze River Delta

Net primary productivity (NPP) can directly reflect the productive capacity of vegetation under natural environment conditions, and is also an important representation of terrestrial carbon sink. The demonstration zone of green and integrated ecological development of the Yangtze River Delta (Demonstration zone) is the first step and breach to implement the integrated development strategy of the Yangtze River Delta, and also the key region to realize the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals in the Yangtze River Delta. Based on CASA model, NPP from January to December in 2000, 2005, 2010, 2015 and 2020 were evaluated by combining land use data, meteorological data and MODIS data, and the dataset of NPP with the spatial resolution of 30m×30m was built. This dataset overcomes the problem that MODIS NPP has low spatial resolution and is difficult to be applied to small area. It provides an important data basis for the assessment of terrestrial carbon sinks in the demonstration area, and is of great significance for the realization of the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals in the demonstration area and even the Yangtze River Delta.
