54 annotated images of insects grouped in a container, partially covered in ethanol, from a top view. The photographs are taken during the winter of 2023-2024 at the Section for Biodiversity, Institute for Ecoscience, Aarhus University. Raw/test bulk samples of arthropods in 75% ethanol are placed in the tray of the Biodiscover system. Each insect is annotated as a polygon. Most images were acquired in 2023, in Denmark. Annotations are contained, as polygons in COCO format, in `instances_default.json`. Images were annotated by hand or semi-automatically (e.g., using Segment Anything).
