Investigation of lytic bacteriophages against pathogenic Escherichia coli

Pathogenic Escherichia coli (E. coli), is a common fecal coliform facultative aerobic Gram-negative bacterium that cause diarrhea, urinary tract infection and septicemias. It is a common human and animal pathogen that leads to a large number of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Lytic phages are potential biological control agent for this pathogens.
