Minutes of Meeting: RSCVD Steering Committee, 18 June 2025

The RSCVD Steering Committee met on June 18th and discussed the following: the WLIC2025 participation of RSCVD. The committee will discuss the challenges in the international library lending challenges and explore how digital solutions like resource sharing can address these issues. The second point discusses the contribution of RSCVD to IFLA newsletter. 220 words were drafted and shared with IFLA. A RSCVD brochure was created and to be translated into Arabic and Turkish in addition to the existing Italian, English and Russian languages. The third point discussed the RSCVD new elections and nominations will be finalized in Astana before the WLIC starts. The need to update the rules of governance and to select volunteers was also discussed and work is in progress. The last point discussed the Regional Liaison Program Development and the need to create a liaison program where knowledgeable members can assist others in their region rather than formalizing a coordinator role. The meeting ended at 3:20 PM Rome Time.
