资源简介:
This dataset is compsed of a high-resolution aerial orthophoto of a planted maritime forest, acquired using an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) platform. The dataset was collected with a DJI Mavic Pro 2 drone, flying under stable meteorological conditions to ensure optimal image quality and spatial accuracy. A systematic flight plan with overlapping nadir images was designed to enable precise photogrammetric reconstruction.
The imagery was processed deadtrees.earth platform, using standard structure-from-motion and orthomosaic generation workflows, resulting in a georeferenced orthophoto with sufficient spatial resolution to identify individual trees and assess canopy condition. The dataset captures RGB colors showing tree mortality across the plantation, allowing visual differentiation between living and dead trees based on crown presence, color, and structural characteristics.
The primary purpose of this dataset is to support the analysis of tree mortality in planted maritime forests, facilitating studies on forest health, management effectiveness, and disturbance impacts. Additionally, the dataset can be used for methodological development in remote sensing, such as testing automated tree detection, mortality classification algorithms, or validating coarser satellite-based products. By making this orthophoto publicly available, the dataset contributes to transparent, reproducible research and provides a valuable reference for ecological monitoring and forest management applications.
