资源简介:
Mohammed Arkoun’s intellectual project is structured upon a fundamental tension between two regimes of thought: the “theological reason” (raison théologique) and the “critical reason” (raison critique). For Arkoun, the tragedy of Islamic intellectual history lies in the fact that theological reason has overwhelmingly dominated and ultimately suppressed critical reason. This foreclosure has transformed religious thought into a closed, logocentric system—a metaphysics of presence that permits no différance, no questioning, no proliferation of interpretive traces.By theological reason, Arkoun refers to that mode of thinking which confines itself to the safeguarding of belief, the preservation of dogma, and the presentation of religion as an inviolable authority beyond the reach of historical contingency. It is the logic that, in Derrida’s terms, arrests the play of meaning, forcing revelation into the mold of an immutable presence — a text without openness, a discourse foreclosed to supplementarity. In contrast, critical reason re-situates revelation within its historical, linguistic, and social context, exposing its traces, interrogating its exclusions, and thereby reopening the field of meaning. Critical reason is not the negation of faith, but the condition for its renewal; it brings faith into the space of différance, where belief is tested, questioned, and rendered more profound through the very act of critique.
