The synteruptor program identifies genomic islands enriched with SMBGCs in the genomes of closely related species. It enhances the detection of SMBGCs that may be missed by traditional tools like antiSMASH, and experimentally demonstrated the presence of novel metabolites such as sphydrofuran in Streptomyces ambofaciens.
