资源简介:
Background: Emotional dysregulation in Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) is heterogeneous and its subtypes have yet to be characterized. In particular, the contribution of comorbidities is still unclear. Findings: In comparing adolescents with BPD (n=89) with and without eating disorder (ED), this study reveals that young people with BPD and ED (n=47) have increased concern and abilities to perceive the emotions of others (emotional awareness of others, facial emotion recognition), and decreased abilities to perceive their own emotions (alexithymia). These patients show also higher levels of avoidant attachment than patients with BPD only. Conclusions: These results suggest a specific emotional regulation profile in ED among patients with BPD, characterized by an externally oriented hypervigilance.
