The goal of this study is to compare the functional and taxonomic composition of soils suppressive or conducive to tobacco black root rot (caused by Thielaviopsis basicola). This data contains metagenome and 16S and ITS amplicon sequences of DNA extracted from the rhizosphere of tobacco plants. The tobacco plants were grown in disease-suppressive and disease-conducive soils from two regions in France and Switzerland.
