Dataset and documentation files

This repository contains the data files associated with the <b>data descriptor paper</b> <i>A multilingual, multi-country dataset on gardening and biodiversity awareness across Central and Eastern Europe</i>.<b>main_dataset.csv</b>: contains 5524 respondent entries plus a header row, with 101 comma-separated columns. Aside from the first two columns (‘ID’, ‘Country_code’), all variables are named with codes from ‘Q_1’ to ‘Q_99’ corresponding to the values of ‘Main_dataset_ID’ column in the dictionary.xlsx and questionnaire.xlsx files. For questions that allowed multiple answers, the responses are listed in one value field, separated by semicolons (;).<b>dictionary.xlsx:</b> contains all translated versions of the questionnaire, including the full English wording and its translations into the nine additional languages in which the survey was available: Croatian, Czech, Estonian, Hungarian, Latvian, Polish, Romanian, Slovak, and Slovenian; and includes a cross-reference column linking it to the <i>main_dataset.csv</i> and the questionnaire.xlsx.<b>questionnaire.xlsx</b>: provides a complete English version of all questions and answers, indicates the section (out of 9) to which each item belongs and the type of question, notes whether a response was mandatory, and includes a cross-reference column linking it to the <i>main_dataset.csv</i> and the <i>dictionary.xlsx</i>.All related <b>computer code</b> is available on the project’s GitHub repository: https://github.com/zsvargaszilay/Central_Eastern_Europe_Gardening_DatasetPlease refer to the articles below when you use this dataset or the related computer code:Varga-Szilay, Z., Barsevskis, A., Benedek, K., Bevk, D., Jojczyk, A., Kristin, A., Ruzickova, J., Jelaska, L.
