GA13 Hydrothermal Plume Incubations

The dataset of hydrothermal plume incubation experiments conducted on GEOTRACES Atlantic 13 along the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. The dataset traces the physiochemical and organic speciation of Fe in four hydrothermal plumes captured during the expedition. The dataset follows the temporal evolution of Fe from three seperate vent systems: Lucky Strike, Rainbow (near-field and far-field), and TAG. The data set reports the dissolved (>0.2 um), soluble (>0.02 um), and total dissolvable (unfiltered acidified) of iron, manganese, and vandaium. It also reports the soluble and dissolved iron speciation measurements made through competative ligand exchange adsorbtive stripping voltametry as concentration in nM and their respective conditional stability constants (log K). Iron isotope values are presented for select time points in the Rainbow near-field and TAG incubations. Select incubations also report the concentration of H2S, thiols, and phosphate. Blank cells represent samples that were not taken or were removed, details about the distinctions can be found in the tables reported in the supplumentary information.
