资源简介:
Opificio is researching revolutionary blood glucose (BG) management solutions that helps people with diabetes to manage and optimise their blood glucose levels in a personalised manner. This is fundamental as most patients fail to achieve optimal glycemic control, leading to multiple health complications, reduced well-being, significantly increased mortality rates and socio-economic costs. The project seeks to develop more advanced and personalised approaches to blood glucose control. By analysing data from continuous glucose monitors, insulin pumps, and other sensors, Opificio hopes to create improved models of how factors like physical activity, stress, and individual physiology affect blood glucose levels. This could lead to more effective and user-friendly management systems that adapt to each person's unique needs and daily activities. The research will involve applying advanced data analysis and modelling techniques to clinical datasets. Opificio will build on existing published research in this area, with the goal of developing more comprehensive models that can account for a wider range of real-world factors affecting blood glucose. This work is increasingly urgent given the growing prevalence of diabetes globally. Improved blood glucose management could potentially benefit hundreds of millions of people, reducing health complications, mortality rates, and the economic burden on healthcare systems. By advancing our understanding of the complex dynamics of blood glucose regulation, this research aims to contribute to the development of next-generation diabetes management tools. These could offer more personalised and effective care, improving outcomes and quality of life for people living with diabetes.
