Brazilian Portuguese Legislative Documents: A Dataset from the Legislative Assembly of Rio Grande do Norte

Legislative documents are basic pillars of democratic societies, defining the rights and responsibilities of citizens, besides establishing laws and regulations that govern societal interactions. However, research in the legislative domain in Brazilian Portuguese is underexplored, with a notable scarcity of resources, such as models and datasets, tailored to the legal field. This work provides a curated dataset comprising 1,869 proposals from the Legislative Assembly of Rio Grande do Norte (ALRN), from January 2019 to April 2024.
