Consumption of coffee in Germany 1953-2014

This statistic shows data on the consumption development of coffee in Germany in selected years from 1953 to 2014. In 2010, a total of roughly 526.9 thousand tons of green coffee were consumed, of which less than 10 percent were consumed in form of instant coffee. Food retailers held the major share of coffee sales, while the out-of-home market had a market share of roughly 15 percent.
