In vivo yeast proteome allocation during growth on various carbon sources. Values reported are % total proteins #/cell (calculated from data found in [22]). Proteins were manually grouped into 6 classes according to their physiological functions: “glycolysis”, “fermentation”, “HXTs” (glucose carriers), “respiration”, “ribosome/translation”, and “others”. “non-fermentable” is the average allocation during growth on the three carbon sources glycerol, acetate, and pyruvate.
