Acorus tatarinowii Schott, a common perennial herbaceous plant found in regions south of the Yellow River in China, is recognized for its significant medicinal properties and its role in water body remediation. This study utilized cutting-edge sequencing and assembly strategies to accomplish the construction of a telomere-to-telomere reference genome for A. tatarinowii. The genome is 361.58 megabases (Mb) in size and has shown favorable quality metrics. It comprises 57.51% repetitive sequences and has been annotated with 24,879 protein-coding genes. This research lays a vital groundwork for the study of interspecific relationships, evolutionary history, and genetic information of A. tatarinowii.
