VDK_coral_genera

Number of occurrences of different coral genera recorded at sites in Velondriake Locally Managed Marine Area in surveys one year before and one year after Cyclone Haruna (22nd February 2013). Survey method: Seven randomly positioned 4 m2 quadrats were completed at each site. Quadrats were haphazardly placed by the observer who randomly selected a direction of travel and a random amount of fin kicks (between 5 and 20) to determine the quadrat location. All colonies with diameter >10 cm were counted in each quadrat.
