Lucid Dream Training

Objective: Methamphetamine use can cause nightmares and sleep disturbances after cessation. This study evaluated the effects of Lucid Dream Training (LDT) on brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) levels and nightmares in recently abstinent users. Method: Thirty-six individuals recently abstinent from methamphetamine were randomly assigned to an experimental group (n=14), which underwent 10 LDT sessions, or a control group (n=16) on a waitlist.
