Simulation of biomass torrefaction

This dataset contains an Aspen Plus simulation of a biomass torrefaction process, including the corresponding backup file (.bkp) and a Python automation script. The model represents a multi-stage thermal treatment (PYRO blocks) operating between 200–300 °C under an inert nitrogen atmosphere.
The Python script connects to Aspen Plus via the COM interface (pywin32), modifies biomass feed rate, reactor temperatures, and nitrogen flow rate, and executes the simulation automatically. The model enables controlled evaluation of mass flow adjustments and operating temperature effects on process performance.
The simulation is intended for parametric analysis and research applications in thermochemical biomass conversion.
