RNAseq was carried out to compare the gene expression profiles underlying the Ag and SiO2 toxicities on C. elegans. Overall design: C. elegans worms were exposed to silver (Ag) or silicon dioxide (SiO2) nanoparticles (at 10 µg/ml concentration) and RNAseq was performed to understand the biological effects of the nanoparticles on the worm at gene level.
