Fog droplet size distributions in Nanjing, China

During the winters of 2017 and 2018, we conducted two comprehensive field experiments on the physicochemical characteristics of the urban fog in the north of Nanjing (32.2°N, 118.7°E) in Eastern China. The observational site is located at Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology (NUIST), near residential and industrial areas with relatively high values of aerosol number concentration. Here, the fog droplet size distributions (FDSDs)are available, which was measured by a Fog Monitor (model 100, FM-100) from the Droplet Measurement Technologies (DMT, USA) in both experiments. Before each experiment, we calibrated the FM-100 using monodisperse standard glass particles to ensure the reliability of the measurements. During the two fog experiments, eight fog cases with 88962 FDSDs were sampled.
