Experienced Workers and New Technology, 1983

This survey is the Danish contribution to a joint European project called 'Erfarne arbejdere og ny teknologi' (Experienced Workers and New Technology). # The purpose of the survey is to describe and analyse the consequences of the introduction of new technology as regards the work and health of the workers, in particular old experienced workers. The main emphasis has been put on examining to what an extent the introduction of new technology has led to mental strain and stress. # The survey was carried out in two different companies and it includes workers within different fields of work (telephone engineers at the Jutland Telephone Company (Jydsk Telefon) in Aarhus, and savings bank clerks at the Association of Danish Savings Banks (SDS). The survey consists of interviews supplemented with written material, and interviews with management representatives, trade union representatives and employees at the companies in question. # This material only includes the interview survey at the Jutland Telephone Company in Aarhus
