Italian Hospital Network 2010-2019

This dataset shows the endowment of the Italian hospital network, through the lenses of the main medical-surgical specializations. It is a key set of information to understand the evolution of the Italian health and hospital network planning.

The dataset is a combination of two main datasets:

- Hospital beds per hospital which contains the data related to beds in public and equivalent hospitals, and to the beds for the accredited activity of private care structures, as of January 1st of the reference year. Starting from the year 2010, for each hospital structure and for each type of discipline (acute, rehabilitation, long-term care), the data relating to the endowment of different types of beds.

- Italian Municipalities which includes, for each Italian Municipality, characteristics about its urbanization degree, its location, altitudine, territorial surface.
