IMMUNE SYSTEM CHARACTERISTICS IN HIV-POSITIVE PATIENTS (LITERATURE REVIEW)

Since the beginning of the global AIDS epidemic, more than 75 million people have contracted HIV and more than 32 million people have died from AIDS-related diseases. Currently, 39 million people worldwide live with HIV, and as of 2022, the number of newly registered HIV cases exceeded 1.3 million. The global AIDS epidemic affects all countries and regions of the world and remains a global emergency as one of the most serious problems in health care, social and economic development, as well as in the field of human rights [1,3,4].
