Image Processing and Lane State Extraction for Physarum TSP

This repository contains image-processing code, a representative dataset, and associated experimental videos from a trial in which Physarum solves an eight-city traveling salesperson problem (TSP) instance with tour length = 128. The Python code processes experimental images to extract lane states at each time point from the TSP chip. The resulting dataset is also included in the repository. The videos include (1) a raw experimental video showing Physarum on a nutrient-rich agar plate and a stellate chip while solving the eight-city TSP instance, and (2) a color-coded video showing thickness oscillations from the same trial, where red and blue indicate increases and decreases in thickness, respectively.
