As of September 2023, the average occupancy rate (AOR) of hotels in Melaka, Malaysia was 43.1 percent, an increase from 40.1 percent AOR in the previous year. As a result of travel restrictions during COVID-19, the tourism industry suffered a severe blow in 2020 and 2021.Melaka is a historical city on the west coast of Malaysia, which was once colonized by the Portugese and the British, and is one of the major tourist attractions in Malaysia.
