Each building structure is linked to one or more building units, enriched with characteristics such as year built, living area, sales information, and other attributes useful for property assessment.

The dataset includes two tables:

- **Buildings table** – contains building structure information and polygon geometry.
- **Building Units table** – contains attributes for individual units within a building.

Using these tables together gives access to both spatial footprints and detailed building attributes. Building structures are represented as polygons showing the building footprint, while building units are represented as points indicating specific units or spaces within a structure.

The **building_unit** and **building_structure** tables can be joined using the **BLDGID** field, which exists in both tables. This field creates a relational link between each building unit and its corresponding building structure. Since each building unit belongs to only one building structure, the relationship is many-to-one: multiple units can be associated with a single structure, but a unit cannot be linked to more than one structure.
