Regulation of microglial states by neuronal micronuclei

Microglia exhibit a wide range of diverse states influenced by their surrounding environment during brain development. However, the mechanisms underlying the generation of microglial diversity remain unclear. Previously we found that micronuclei released from neurons can be incorporated into microglia and alter their state. In this study, we aim to elucidate the mechanisms by which neuronal micronuclei regulate microglial signatures following their incorporation using bulk RNAseq analysis.
