Size-fractionated particulate cadmium and phosphorus concentrations in the subtropical Northwest Pacific Ocean collected by in-situ pumps on cruise GEOTRACES GP09 in 2019

Marine particles of two size fractions, 0.8-51 µm and > 51µm, were collected from the upper 1600 m water column at 13 stations in the Northwestern Pacific Ocean using large-volume, in-situ pumps during the GEOTRACES GP09 cruise in 2019. The sampling region spans from 11˚N to 21˚N and 121˚E to 155˚E, with a total of 115 depth layers collected. Particulate cadmium and phosphorus concentrations were determined through hydrofluoric and nitric acid digestion in a clean laboratory, followed by measurement using sector high-resolution field inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ELEMENT XR Thermo Scientific).
