Klebsiella quasipneumoniae strain:ATCC 700603 Assembly

This study aimed to isolate and characterize bacteriophage-resistant mutants derived from biofilms of Klebsiella quasipneumoniae (ATCC 700603) subjected to targeted phage exposure. The goal was to investigate the genetic and phenotypic adaptations that confer resistance to phage infection, contributing to our understanding of host-pathogen interactions in microbial systems. Phage resistance plays a critical role in shaping bacterial evolution and has direct implications for the efficacy of phage therapy, antimicrobial strategies, and microbial ecology. By analyzing these resistant mutants, we aim to identify key resistance mechanisms, such as receptor modification and other genomic changes. The data generated from this project will support future comparative genomics studies and enhance resources in the public domain to facilitate research in phage-host dynamics and resistance development.
